Bev Marchant
Funeral Arranger
After working in the publishing field for 11 years, Bev needed a change and commenced with Gregory & Carr Funerals 14 years ago. The best piece of advice given to her when she first started was, “treat everybody that you meet and speak with, as if they were your own family member”. That advice is what makes Gregory & Carr the leaders in the funeral industry. We treat all our families that contact us with the respect and dignity that they deserve and how we would also like to be treated. Bev has been looking after Gregory & Carr accounts for over 12 years now which keeps her busy. In her spare time (when that happens) she enjoys reading, taking cruises and spending time with her husband of 43 years, Ray, and her 3 adult children and her adorable and beautiful 7 grandchildren who light up her life.
Melissa Norgate
Funeral Arranger
Melissa works as a Funeral Arranger with Gregory and Carr. Prior to joining the team she worked for many years as a Project Coordinator for a commercial air-conditioning company. Looking for a meaningful career change; Melissa joined the Gregory and Carr family into a role which she considers to be both fulfilling and rewarding. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, bush walks, camping and sipping on a good coffee.
Natalie Walsh
Funeral Arranger
Natalie Walsh, mother of four found this wonderful job as a Funeral Arranger/Receptionist in the local paper. It fitted her criteria of being different, varied and spontaneous; and most importantly communicating with families. This role has lived up to her aspirations as she has enjoyed meeting a variety of people and supporting them through an emotionally difficult time. She says the staff at Gregory and Carr Funerals are fantastic to work with and make it a joy for her to come to work. In her spare time she likes spending time with her family, going swimming, hiking and doing yoga, she also enjoys a good book and movie.
Eliza Suleiman
Funeral Arranger
Eliza has an advanced diploma in events management and ran her own successful cake business for 4 years. Wanting a change, Eliza started with Gregory and Carr as a Funeral Arranger and is now the P.R and marketing specialist for Gregory and Carr and loves spending time at aged care facilities planning events and activities for all of the residents. Eliza loves cooking and creating new recipes with her fiancé Peter.
Jodie Godfrey
Funeral Arranger
Jodie has been a Funeral Arranger at Gregory and Carr for the past 5 years. Starting her career in the funeral industry in 2010 working at the local Cemetery and Crematorium, Jodie felt the need after losing 4 young family members in the space of a few years that she could possibly relate to families going through the loss of a loved one and guide them through their difficult circumstances. Jodie finds her role as a funeral arranger rewarding and fulfilling on all levels. Before working in the funeral industry Jodie ran her own children’s business for some years and worked in administration. In her spare time Jodie enjoys hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, swimming, photography, traveling and family research. Most of all, Jodie loves spending quality time with her 3 adult children.
Courtney Lambert
Funeral Arranger
Courtney became a Funeral Arranger at Gregory & Carr in 2016. Prior to this she worked as flight cabin crew and spent a lot of her time travelling. Courtney enjoys the sunshine living close to the beach and keeping fit and active. Since having the opportunity to arrange funerals, Courtney has relished in the role. The involvement she has working with families has been the most rewarding part of her job. Supplying the best experiences possible for her clients is Courtney’s strength and her passion in the job.
Glenn Hillier
Funeral Arranger
Glenn worked in pre-press and the printing industry for 20 years, doing an apprenticeship in graphic reproduction and moving through to sales and management. After making a move out of the print industry and continuing to follow his passion for sales and customer service, Glenn finally made the move into the funeral industry, joining the Gregory and Carr team as a Funeral Director. Learning how the industry works, Glenn then had the opportunity to move into a position as a Funeral Arranger. “I really enjoy dealing with people, making a connection and building relationships, even in the short time that I have with the families. “. Glenn is heavily involved with junior and senior rugby league in the North Ryde area and Balmain District, being President of the North Ryde Hawks JRLFC for 9 years, and managing Ryde Eastwood Hawks Combined FC sides for a number of years, now managing their Sydney Shield side.

Peter Lorenti
Funeral Director
Peter started his working career in the building game, where he learnt all aspects of building. He then owned a cafe where he was head barista, which he ran with his wife Lennie. After fifteen years of hospitality he came across the position of Funeral Director with Gregory and Carr. “This has been the most rewarding job I have had; I wish I had started with Gregory and Carr much earlier in my career. I enjoy all aspects of being a funeral director, with every day being different”. Peter is still actively involved in his son's rugby league team as well as being a committee member of the North Ryde Hawks. In his free time he enjoy spending the days with his wife and two son's going fishing and going to the beach.
Andrew Bamblett
Andrew Bamblett joined Gregory and Carr after working in the retail industry for the past five years. Drawing from his experience with customer service, it has served Andrew well when interacting with families during the mourning process. Every day work at Gregory and Carr has proved to be different and varied to keep Andrew active and engaged with helping the team in any way possible. When not at work Andrew enjoys watching Tennis or NRL and spending time with his friends.
Kirsty Coombs
Funeral Director
Kirsty Coombs joined the Gregory & Carr team as a Funeral Director after having worked as a paramedic for the past five years. The understanding, gentle and cultivated way in which Kirsty interacts with our families help them feel at ease through these difficult times. In her spare time Kirsty enjoys playing roller derby and spending time with her pets, Norbert her bearded dragon and Wednesday her snake.
Jacob Smalley
Funeral Director
Jacob Smalley has recently started at Gregory & Carr as a Funeral Director after graduating from Oakhill College in 2016. Jacob joined the company to pursue a fulfilling career and he enjoys being able to constantly care and assist those in need. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his friends.
Matt Williamson
Funeral Director
Matt has been a part of the Gregory & Carr team for the past 2 years and has thoroughly enjoyed working with a fantastic team. Matt has found special sharing memories with families about their loved ones and hearing their stories. Having that bond and trust with families is important in his role as a Funeral Director. In his spare time Matt enjoys playing soccer, teaching soccer, attending university and spending time with his girlfriend Chels.
Nathan Cane
Funeral Director
Nathan Cane has worked with Gregory and Carr for 2 years as a Funeral Director. In Nathan’s role, he enjoys the diversity and the nature that “every day is different; from families, to funerals, to different customs and religions”. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with friends and playing soccer.
Matt Croll
Funeral Director
Matthew Croll started his career as a Chef, working around the world in London, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. After 23 years, Matthew decided he needed a career change and began his journey with Gregory & Carr Funerals. With his expertise in supervising he has taken on a managerial role overseeing the day to day organization and the “behind the scenes” preparation of the funerals with a team of directors. Matthew brings an uplifting persona to the role, helping families cope in difficult times. He enjoys surfing, paddle boarding, fishing and snowboarding.

Brea Burke
Assistant Manager
Brea Burke started her career as a hairdresser and on completion of her trade, stumbled upon a Funeral Arranger position which has led to a humbling career as the Operations Manager of Gregory and Carr Funerals. Brea has found the industry very rewarding, helping people through such a difficult time and enjoys that you can make a positive impact by offering the right support, empathy and guidance. There is nothing more satisfying than assisting a family through the funeral arrangements and then following the funeral have them sincerely thank you. Brea loves that her job is unique and in her spare time she rides motocross with her partner Matt and two girls, Ashtyn and Indy, enjoys canvas painting and spending time with their two dogs.
Tim Blake
General Manager
Tim has been in the funeral industry for 10 years. He started as a Funeral Director learning all aspects of the industry before he moved into management. Over many years Tim has developed skills at assisting families navigate through tough decisions. Tim’s comforting and understanding nature is sure to make your family at ease. Helping a grieving family from the first meeting until the day of the funeral, helping guide them through the difficult decisions he finds it an extremely rewarding experience. As the General Manager of Gregory and Carr Funerals, Tim is confident that your experience with our team will be held with the utmost care, respect and compassion for your loved one. Away from work Tim enjoys watching most sports particularly rugby league and cricket and spending time with his wife, daughter and two dogs.
