Melissa Norgate
Funeral Arranger
Melissa works as a Funeral Arranger with Gregory and Carr. Prior to joining the team she worked for many years as a Project Coordinator for a commercial air-conditioning company. Looking for a meaningful career change; Melissa joined the Gregory and Carr family into a role which she considers to be both fulfilling and rewarding. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, bush walks, camping and sipping on a good coffee.
Jodie Godfrey
Funeral Arranger
Jodie has been a Funeral Arranger at Gregory and Carr for almost 10 years. Starting her career in the funeral industry in 2010 working at the local Cemetery and Crematorium, Jodie felt the need after losing 4 young family members in the space of a few years that she could possibly relate to families going through the loss of a loved one and guide them through their difficult circumstances. Jodie finds her role as a funeral arranger rewarding and fulfilling on all levels. Before working in the funeral industry Jodie ran her own children’s business for some years and worked in administration. In her spare time Jodie enjoys hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, swimming, photography, traveling and family research. Most of all, Jodie loves spending quality time with her 3 adult children.
Peter Lorenti
Funeral Arranger
Peter started his working career in the building game, where he learnt all aspects of building. He then owned a cafe where he was head barista, which he ran with his wife Lennie. After fifteen years of hospitality he came across the position of Funeral Director with Gregory and Carr. “This has been the most rewarding job I have had; I wish I had started with Gregory and Carr much earlier in my career. I enjoy all aspects of being a funeral director, with every day being different”. Peter is still actively involved in his son's rugby league team as well as being a committee member of the North Ryde Hawks. In his free time he enjoy spending the days with his wife and two son's going fishing and going to the beach.
Mark Dawson
Funeral Arranger
Mark is known for his empathetic and compassionate approach to customer service, and he takes pride in ensuring that families are supported and cared for during their time of grief. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience in the funeral industry, having worked in the sector previously. He also has over 25 years of experience in customer service. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our clients Is why he has happily rejoined the Gregory and Carr Family. In addition to his professional experience, Mark is also a dedicated volunteer firefighter, demonstrating his commitment to helping others in his community. He has a passion for motor vehicles and enjoys restoring classic cars in his spare time.
Andrew Bamblett
Funeral Arranger
Andrew Bamblett joined Gregory and Carr after working in the retail industry for the past five years. Drawing from his experience with customer service, it has served Andrew well when interacting with families during the mourning process. Every day work at Gregory and Carr has proved to be different and varied to keep Andrew active and engaged with helping the team in any way possible. When not at work Andrew enjoys watching Tennis or NRL and spending time with his friends.

Matt Croll
Funeral Director
Matthew Croll started his career as a Chef, working around the world in London, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. After 23 years, Matthew decided he needed a career change and began his journey with Gregory & Carr Funerals. With his expertise in supervising he has taken on a managerial role overseeing the day to day organization and the “behind the scenes” preparation of the funerals with a team of directors. Matthew brings an uplifting persona to the role, helping families cope in difficult times. He enjoys surfing, paddle boarding, fishing and snowboarding.
Alex Yazdani
Funeral Director
Alex joined the Gregory & Carr team bringing with him a wealth of customer service and management skills. He’s a valued member of the team as he gives commitment above & beyond. Although quiet in nature, he’s always there in the background, ensuring that all jobs are completed ahead of time and above standard. In his spare time he enjoys riding his motorcycles and working out. Alex has a passion for the outdoors and brings an enthusiastic presence to his work day. Compassion and willingness to help others is why he enjoys working within a team.
Elle Valentine
Funeral Director
When Elle started in the funeral industry at the age of 18, she discovered her calling in life. Born in the United States, Elle has worked as a mortician, funeral arranger and funeral director in the Northern Beaches and her hometown in Bathurst, NSW. She recently relocated to the North Shore to join the team at Gregory & Carr. Along with her experience, she brings empathy, compassion and dedication to the industry. In her spare time, Elle enjoys vegetarian cooking, going to the gym and spending time at art galleries.
Johana
Funeral Administrator
Johana works as a funeral administrator for Gregory and Carr and has an extensive background in administrative roles. Born in Bogota Colombia, Johana set her sights on relocating to Australia and now calls Australia her new home. She has a keen interest in supporting our customers and the day to day functions of the business. Johana's kind and caring nature is well received by all who meet her and she is a great addition to the team. In her spare time, she enjoys training at the gym, reading and travelling with her fiance..

Courtney Lambert
Assistant Manager
Courtney became a Funeral Arranger at Gregory & Carr in 2016. Prior to this she worked as flight cabin crew and spent a lot of her time travelling. Courtney enjoys the sunshine living close to the beach and keeping fit and active. Since having the opportunity to arrange funerals, Courtney has relished in the role. The involvement she has working with families has been the most rewarding part of her job. Supplying the best experiences possible for her clients is Courtney’s strength and her passion in the job.
Tim Blake
General Manager
Tim has been in the funeral industry for over 10 years. He started as a Funeral Director learning all aspects of the industry before he moved into management. Over many years Tim has developed skills at assisting families navigate through tough decisions. Tim’s comforting and understanding nature is sure to make your family at ease. Helping a grieving family from the first meeting until the day of the funeral, helping guide them through the difficult decisions he finds it an extremely rewarding experience. As the General Manager of Gregory and Carr Funerals, Tim is confident that your experience with our team will be held with the utmost care, respect and compassion for your loved one. Away from work Tim enjoys watching most sports particularly rugby league and cricket and spending time with his wife and two children.
